2024 Update
Last season (2023) I let some of the tomatoes rot in the pots that they were planted in hoping for volunteers to come from them. It is way to early to tell what will come as we just had a little bit of snow and there is more bad weather on the horizon. So until the weather flies right, we will have no tomatoes before it is time.
Meanwhile, we can review our previous notes from last year and years before that are posted above and stay warm!

March- Updates
March 23, 2024 – I decided to get some tomato seed for a large variety. I settled on 2 pals of Celebrity. I have always had decent luck with them, have not decided which kind yet. Hopefully in a day or so I will make that decision. So this large variety and the two cherry tomatoes of unknown heritage should do it.

Tomato – Celebrity
______________
Cherry Tomato – Sungold (Orange)
*One of the sweetest, tastiest and brilliantly colored cherry tomatoes we’ve found! This cherry-type hybrid tomato adds super sweet, juicy flavor and color to summer salads. Sungold Hybrid Tomato has an exceptionally high sugar content and produces loads of ½ in. fruits that are perfect for salads and snacking. An indeterminate, it continues to grow and produce fruit up until frost. Plants exhibit resistance to fusarium wilt race I and tobacco mosaic virus. Seeds can be planted indoors about 6-8 weeks before transplanting outdoors in the garden. Plant outdoors after any chance of frost is passed. Disease Resistance: F TMV. 65 DAYS.

________________
Cherry Tomato – Candyland Red
*Dark red fruits deliver a flavor so rich and sweet, you’ll be eating them straight from the garden. Smaller than cherry-types, Candyland Red Tomato is a currant-type that’s the ideal size for snacking and salads. Each bite-sized fruit delivers an explosion of flavor! The only currant-type tomato All-America Selections winner, Candyland’s fruits form in clusters on the outside of the plant making it easy to harvest. The compact, manageable plants produce high yields-so you can enjoy sweet snacks for weeks, sometimes months. Indeterminate. 55-65 DAYS.
